Last Trimester
We’re in the last few weeks before a new little soul comes into our lives, and I personally CAN’T WAIT to get this baby out of here!
Compared to Keira, this boy is making me so uncomfortable.
He kicks and dances and does multiple karate moves inside my belly, almost all day. And then around midnight, just when i’m trying to settle to sleep or have some quiet time, he starts kicking UPWARDS, into my lungs and ribs! Ai Yo.
With Keira, I was as regular as clockwork. Now, I’m constipated.
My legs cramp up when I sit down for too long, my bladder is in love with the toilet and must go visit it all the time, sometimes I am very hungry, and sometimes, when the baby squashes my stomach, I feel sick and have no appetite at all.
There’s 10 kilos of extra weight pressing down on me all the time. I feel old, look haggard and there’s all kinds of strange spots growing on my face.
And I’m sorry to pour all my complaints here. But that’s the pregnancy this time round. Besides the gaining of weight I didn’t get any of the above with Keira, she was a good little foetus, so second time is very much different and harder and more exhausting… Hopefully the boy will come out to be a good baby in contrast!
Anyway onto some nice pictures now
While CY was here for CNY week, we managed to do a few things around town.
First we went to Crown Casino to check out the CNY festivities. Their laser light show featured this huge dragon.

Outside, along the river bank there were lots of stalls selling the usual food and CNY stuff, and rather incongruosly, this little pet farm, where they were letting kids go in to pet the animals.
Here’s CY, Keira and a llama.

Another day, we went to visit a real farm, where the kids got to feed the animals.
The guinea pigs were the cutest!

And the cousins continue to enjoy each other’s company and warm our hearts every day. They are best friends now.

They’re going to miss each other when we leave

I hear you and having the same situation here. This pregnancy was different and more difficult compared to the previous. Just have to hang on there for another few weeks. Take care and safe delivery.

so so cute!!
They say boys are tougher on their mums. There is suppose to be some scientific backing for this. I had the same with JW. I was a wreck, but not all mothers carrying boys are, so I don’t am not certain.
Hang in there MC.. not long more!

Yeah, my second pregnancy was more difficult too! Like my hubby said: everything is ’second-hand’ edi, body parts are not so efficient and strong like before, haha! I can’t wait to see your lil’ boy too!

hehhee… just a little while more before you see his face… then you will forget about all these already
the bonding with new baby will be fantastic even tho the pregnancy wasn’t fantastic! trust me
Hey… need to ask you some advice… do you have any tips worth sharing about travelling long-distance with baby/toddler on the aiplane??
ie… do you carry water? how do you handle customs check? what you do to keep them well-behaved during flight? what items do you pack? how comfy are the in-flight bassinets… did you bring your own carseat/stroller?
etc… etc…
THANKS!!

hi chris, i hope you’re right, cos now i don’t really feel anything for the baby yet!
abt travelling, they actually let you take water thru if it is for baby/child. sometimes they ask you to sip it. that’s all. with keira i give her her favourite things, lollipop and dvd player to entertain her. In flight bassinets are alright, no problems there. and yes, we bring the stroller, cos you can use it all the way up to the plane and pick it up when you get off the plane.
but, there is really no easy way to travel with kids. it will be troublesome, and hard, what with all the queues, and waiting, and cramped conditions, and having to wear safety belts… just have to get thru it!
i suppose the main tip is to have everything you need with you… snacks/milk/food/toys cos you never know when you need it. good luck, where r u going?

The lil cousins really love each other’s company. And they look extremely adorable in their Phua Chu Kang boots.
